The article "Serve or Fail" by Dave Eggers and it was published by The Writer's Response. In this article the author talks about how college students have a lot of time that was wasted on things that were not even important or meaningful. In other words Mr. Eggers suggested that college students should take some community service during their junior or senior year of college. He suggests that college students should volunteer a few hours a month by doing this students could earn an college credit if he or she earn enough hours. He also pointed out that students should required a number of hours for volunteering in order to gratitude.
After reading this article i believe that Mr Eggers have a good idea but I don't think i would favor it. Here is why his idea were good because students who are doing community service he or she could earn college credit and at the same time they could get experience. But also there are people who doesnt have the time to do community service because a lot of students have a job and a family to take care of. After thats being said here is a question will he or she fail if he or she did not do community service?
I agree that we don't have all access to a vehicle and time to put community service into our day to perform. That is a good point, it doesn't tell weather she does pass or not. I assume that she didn't; also, some people would be uncomfortable doing community service if they never have done it before. They should put into consideration what would make the students comfortable.
